During
the past several years Mr. Gorsuch serves in the capacity of
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Homes, Inc.,
New England Wendico, Inc., Gorsuch Realty Co., and Vice
President of Akwen, Ltd. and LPS Enterprises of New York.
Mr.
Gorsuch has expanded all phases of the organization since his
tenure began. His first involvement came with the multi-family
portion of Fairfield Homes, developing and building over 50
projects. He has expanded Gorsuch Management to where they
currently manage over 4500 apartments.
Mr.
Gorsuch graduated from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He
is a graduate of the Real Estate Institute, Ohio University, and
is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Gorsuch was also a
Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam.

Ronald P. Burson, Vice President &
Treasurer
Ron Burson
is currently Vice President and Treasurer of Gorsuch Companies,
including Fairfield Homes, Inc., a Lancaster development and
construction company as well as Vice President of Gorsuch
Management, the firm’s property management division. Gorsuch
Management currently manages 85 affordable housing HUD Section
8, LIHTC, and Rural Development as well as conventional
properties consisting of 3500 apartments.
Ron has been
involved with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program since
its inception in 1986 as Gorsuch Companies has developed,
constructed and currently manages approximately 25 low income
housing tax credit properties. Ron has provided assistance as
requested to the development staff during the tax credit project
development phase and is involved on an ongoing basis with
management and compliance through his position as Vice President
of the Property Management division. Ron has also been involved
as a past member of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s Compliance
Advisory Committee from 2002 through 2005. Ron was appointed by
Governor Taft in 2006 to serve as a member of the Ohio Housing
Trust Fund Advisory Committee.
Ron holds a
Certified Public Accountant certifications in the State of Ohio
as well as a Certified Property Manager certification from the
Institute of Real Estate Management in 1992. Ron became a
Certified Public Accountant in 1975 during his employment as an
audit supervisor with Coopers and Lybrand and was responsible
for the supervision of numerous audit engagements, primarily in
the real estate industry. Ron joined Fairfield Homes, Inc. in
1979 as Treasurer.
Ron is currently
serving as Board Member and Past President (1996-1998) of the
Midwest Affordable Housing Management Association (MAHMA), a
six-state affordable housing organization serving affordable
housing owners, managers, developers, lenders, and vendors who
provide services and products to the industry. Ron is currently
a member of the National Affordable Housing Management
Association’s (NAHMA) Executive Council and earned NAHMA’s
National Affordable Housing Professional Executive designation
in 1998. NAHMA is the national organization, which MAHMA is
affiliated with in the affordable housing industry. Ron is
currently a Board member and 1996 Past President of the Columbus
Apartment Association and is a past Treasurer and Board member
of the Ohio Apartment Association. He serves also as Board
Member and Past-Treasurer of the Council of Rural Housing
Developers of Ohio (CRHDO). Ron currently is a member of and the
2000 Past-President for the Columbus Chapter Number 42 of the
Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Ron was awarded the
IREM Columbus Chapter’s “CPM of the Year” designation in
November 1995 and previously was awarded that Chapter’s “CPM
Candidate of the Year” designation in 1990. In 2006, Ron was
appointed to IREM’s National Federal Housing Advisory Board
which meets with HUD, Rural Housing Services and the Treasury
Department twice a year to discuss regulatory issues applicable
to these government assisted property types. Ron is also a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
Ron is a licensed Realtor and has earned the Housing Credit
Certified Professional (HCCP) certification in 2003 which is
awarded for educational achievement in the low income housing
tax credit program. Ron earned the Specialist in Housing Credit
Management (SHCM) Certification in 2005 as awarded by NAHMA.
Ron is a 1973
graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business Administration majoring in
Accounting. Ron resides in Gahanna, Ohio with his wife, Nancy,
and sons, Matthew and Andrew. Ron is active with his sons’
school, soccer, basketball and wrestling activities. Ron
currently serves as an adult Boy Scout Leader for Troop 898 of
Gahanna, and is an active member of Stoneybrook Methodist
Church.
Dale Roberts, Controller
Dale joined
Fairfield Homes in April 1987. His responsibilities include the
supervision of payroll and oversight of the day-today accounting
for all partnerships. He is responsible for the implementation
and maintenance of the corporate computer system. Dale also
handles the coordination of the year-end audits and prepares and
analyzes monthly financial statements to owners and government
agencies.
Prior
to joining the Company, Dale was associated with Deerwood
Management Company of Columbus, Ohio, as Controller. Previous to
that position, he was Assistant Controller with Wallick
Properties.
Dale
is a graduate of Franklin University with a Bachelors Degree in
Accounting.
Ruth
Stetz, Regional Director
Ruth
joined Gorsuch Management in December, 1994 as Regional Property
Manager. She is directly responsible for overall supervision,
including the management and maintenance, of numerous properties
located in Central and Southern Ohio. Her duties encompass
supervision and training of on-site staff, advertising,
community and resident relations, and budget preparation,
purchasing, capital improvement for each property. Prior to
joining Gorsuch Management, Ruth was employed by Hudson
Properties in Hudson, Ohio where she was Vice President of
Management and was responsible for the management of 15
properties consisting of 731 housing units.
Ruth
was President in 1996-1997 and is currently a Board Member for
the Council for Rural Housing and Development of Ohio and served
as Secretary for the Council for four years. She also served as
Chairperson for the Education Committee for Council for Rural
Housing and Development of Ohio for numerous years.
Ruth
is a Certified Occupancy Specialist through the National Center
for Housing Management and was a Spectrum Training Award
Recipient in Housing Management.
Angelika
M. George, Regional Director
Angie
George has been a Regional Director with Gorsuch Management
since December of 1994. Prior to joining Gorsuch, she was a
licensed realtor with Sluss Realty, in Mansfield, Ohio. There
she was a member of the "President's Club". Her
previous position in the apartment management industry was as
Vice-President of Provident Management, Inc. of Mansfield, Ohio.
She was responsible for the entire portfolio, assessing the
physical needs of the apartment communities, staffing,
budgeting, preventative maintenance. etc.
As
a Regional Director with Gorsuch Management, her portfolio
consists of (LIHTC) tax credit housing, HUD subsidized apartment
communities, Rural Development apartment communities and market
rentals. Her responsibilities are for the overall management and
maintenance of these communities, including training of
personnel, budget preparation, capital improvements, community
and resident relations.
Angie
is a graduate of North Central State College with an Associate
Degree in Business Administration, a licensed Realtor, and was
the first woman to become a Certified Apartment Property
Supervisor in northeastern United States, through the National
Apartment Association. She was designated "Boss of the
Year" by the Millstream Chapter of the American Business
Women's Association in Findlay, Ohio. Angie also helped to found
and served as the first president of the "Friends of
Seltzer Park", a non-profit entity which eventually was
responsible for building a community playground at Seltzer Park
in Shelby, Ohio. In 1999, the Shelby Civitan Club was founded,
which is a world wide organization concerned with improving the
lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Angie was the first president of the club; she is a board member
and presently serves as the treasurer for the club.
Rebecca
S. Collins, Regional Director
Rebecca
joined Gorsuch Management in July 2000 as a Regional Director.
As a Regional Director, Rebecca is responsible for the overall
management and maintenance of multiple apartment communities.
Her duties include supervision and training of on-site staff,
community and resident relations, budget preparation, assessment
of the physical needs of the properties, purchasing, and
marketing. Previously, she was employed by Ohio Capital
Corporation for Housing in Columbus, Ohio as an Asset Manager.
She was responsible for the monitoring of approximately 40
Low-Income Housing Tax Credit properties throughout the state of
Ohio, totaling over 2,000 units. Her areas of responsibility
included monitoring the physical needs, financial integrity, and
on-going compliance of her designated portfolio. She also
prepared and presented company-sponsored trainings, with an
emphasis on marketing.
Prior
to her employment at Ohio Capital Corporation, Rebecca was the
supervisor for the Applications and Continued Occupancy
Department(s) at the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority.
Rebecca also served as the Deputy Director for the Logan County
Metropolitan Housing Authority in Bellefontaine, Ohio prior to
relocating to Columbus. She served as manager of the Public
Housing Program, as well as administered the Section 8 Existing
Program. During her tenure, she was directly involved in the
pre-construction, construction, and administration of 100 units
of single family, scattered-site public housing units throughout
Logan County.
Rebecca
is a licensed Realtor, a Certified Assisted Housing Manger
through Quadel, a Certified Occupancy Specialist through the
National Center for Housing Management, a Certified Tax Credit
Professional through Spectrum, and a Certified Public Housing
Manager through the National Center for Housing Management.
Karen
Asbury, Regional Director
Karen
joined Gorsuch as Regional Director in February 2005. Karen
previously worked at the Ohio Department of Development/Ohio
Housing Finance Agency and acquired an extensive background in
HOME, Tax Credit, Multifamily Bond, RTC and Section 8
Compliance, with over 3 years experience in Property Management
at Tax Credit and conventional properties.
Karen
has almost 8 years experience as a housing auditor for OHFA and
has dedicated the last 3 years to developing the HOME compliance
department. She was responsible for many aspects of the HOME
compliance process which included the development of the
monitoring strategy and formal training as well as supervising
in-house staff on the compliance monitoring guidelines. She was
responsible for writing OHFA's HOME Compliance Manual and
performed many training seminars for Ruth Theobold, Novagradec,
MAHMA, and ODOD/OHFA.
Karen
is a licensed Real Estate Agent and has certifications as a
Certified Assisted Housing Manager from Quadel, as well as the
Low Income Housing Tax Credit C3P Certification and HCCP
Certification through Spectrum.
James
Hurley, Regional Director
Jim joined
Gorsuch as Regional Director in March 2005. Jim was most
recently with RLJ Management as a Property Manager with a great
deal of experience with all types of affordable housing programs
including HUD, Rural Development, and tax credit. Previous to
his experience with RLJ, Jim was a Property Manager both with
Wallick Properties as well as Oakwood Management. His portfolio
with Wallick also included affordable housing properties. Jim
gained a great deal of conventional property management
experience with Oakwood Management.
Jim
will also serve as the Gorsuch Section 504 Compliance Officer
and will also administer the updates to the Gorsuch Policy
Handbooks and other assigned administrator duties. Jim is a
licensed real estate agent and a graduate of Miami University.
He has also earned the tax credit designation HCCP and is also a
Certified Occupancy Specialist. Jim also is a CPM candidate
through the Institute of Real Estate Management.
